    Let S(ABC) be the area of ABC.

    pa / ha = S(PBC) / S(ABC)
    pb / hb = S(PAC) / S(ABC)
    pc / hc = S(PAB) / S(ABC)

    Hence,
    pa/ha + pb/hb + pc/hc = 1
